On the third Monday in January, the United States observes the life and achievements of Martin Luther King, Jr., an American civil rights leader. King fought for racial equality and was known his non-violent protests. He also became the youngest man to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.
Mansfield ISD campuses and district offices will be closed on Monday, Jan. 15 in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day (MLK Day). The following links provide a list of city events being held to commemorate the day.
