Dear Worley Parents:

Beginning of Year MAP Assessments – Tomorrow - Wednesday, Sept. 10th & 11th

Tomorrow and Wednesday, students will be participating in Beginning of Year (BOY) MAP Testing. This important assessment gives information to support instruction and student growth throughout the year. Students will complete their assessments online using their district-issued chrome books. Students without a district-issued or working device will test in our computer labs. It is essential that students report to campus with their district-issued device and charger. We will be on block schedule in order for students to take the assessment in their scheduled Reading, Math, and Science classes. Please be sure that students get adequate rest, a good breakfast, and are equipped with their district-issued device and charger daily. We ask that there be no lunch visitors on these days due to altered schedules.

BOY MAP Assessments

• Math – 7th and 8th Grade
• Reading – 7th and 8th Grade
• Science – 8th Grade

Tuesday, September 10th - Periods 5 - 8

Wednesday, September 11th - Periods 1-4

Thursday, September 12th - BOY MAP Makeup Day

Friday, September 13th - BOY MAP Makeup Day

To encourage students to do their best and to use the strategies that teachers have been working with students on in both Math and Reading, students who show their work for math problems using specified strategies and using specified strategies during the Reading assessment, according to what teachers have shown, may earn passes for a hat and/or pajama day.
